CA Foundation Course -Eligibility
To appear for the CA Foundation Exam, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:
Must have completed 10+2 (Senior Secondary) Examination from a recognized board.
Students who have appeared for Class 12 exams can also register provisionally.
Registration with ICAI must be completed at least four months before the exam.
NOTE:- ICAI has allowed provisional registration for 10th class passed students.
Exemption from CA Foundation Syllabus
Candidates who are Graduates, Post Graduates and have Equivalent degree are Exempt from CA Foundation Exam and can take Direct entry for CA Intermediate ( Commerce graduated with 55% and others graduated with 60% marks )

Syllabus for CA Foundation Course have been divided into four
Papers partially subjective and partially objective test consisting of 400
marks.
· Paper-1: Principles and Practices of Accounting. (100 – Marks)
· Paper-2: Business Laws (100 – Marks)
· Paper-3: Business Mathematics and Logical Reasoning & Statistics. (100 – Marks)
• Paper-4: Business Economics (100 – Marks)
NOTE :-The above two papers (Paper 1 & 2) are subjective while the later two Paper (Paper 3 & 4) are objective. Objective papers contain negative marking for each wrong answer 0.25 mark gets deducted and for each correct answer one mark is given
Passing Criteria of CA Foundation
CA Foundation Examination Passing Criteria:
A Student of CA foundation examination shall be
declared to have passed the examination if he secures minimum 40% marks on each
paper and an aggregate of 50%(200/400) of total marks.
