What is CA Intermediate Exam 2024?

ICAI conducts the CA Intermediate exam to evaluate CA aspirants registered for the CA Intermediate course level. ICAI administers the exam for all papers included in the CA Intermediate course, and only those who score 40% in every paper qualify for the CA Final level. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) regulates and manages the CA Intermediate course, which is the second level of the Chartered Accountancy program.

What is the ICAI Intermediate Exam Process?

The process of ICAI CA Intermediate exam includes online registration, study duration, admit card download and appearing for the exam. The CA result is announced for Group 1, Group 2 and both Groups. Given below is the brief overview of CA exam process.

Step 1: Apply for CA Intermediate course

Candidates who clear the CA Foundation exams, are eligible to register for the CA Intermediate courses. Candidates having Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university can also register for CA Intermediate. Step 3: Appear for CA exams

The CA Intermediate exams are conducted at designated examination centres in online mode. Duration of every CA Intermediate paper is 3 hours. Candidates have to clear all the papers of their exam group.

Step 4: Check CA result and register for CA Final

ICAI releases the CA result for Intermediate and Final courses about a month after the exam. Candidates who clear the CA Intermediate course must register for the Final course. Those who do not clear the exam must re-register and appear for the exam again.
