The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) had released a notification regarding the postponement of the Chartered Accountants Intermediate Course Examination, (Group I), Paper – 4 (Taxation) in the state of Karnataka.
The ICAI CA Inter May 2023 exam for Taxation was originally scheduled for May 10, 2023, but now it has been moved to May 20, 2023, due to the General Election in the Legislative Assembly in Karnataka.
The ICAI had released an official notification on April 1, 2023, informing students of the postponement.
The exam centers in Karnataka affected by the change are Bagalkot, Belgaum, Bellary, Bengaluru, Chikkaballapur, Chitradurga, Davangere, Gadag, Hassan, Haveri, Hubli, Kalaburgi, Kolar, Koppal, Mandya, Mangalore, Mysore, Raichur, Shimoga, Sirsi, Tumakuru, Udupi and Vijayapura.
Recently, one more notification has been released regarding the postponement of the same exam in Jalandhar (Punjab) and Jharsuguda (Odisha) to be held on 20th May, 2023 (Saturday).
The CA Inter exam 2023 will be conducted in a single shift between 2 pm and 5 pm and at the same examination centers.
Admit cards will not be released separately; the same admit card will be valid for the May 20 exam. Other cities and dates for examinations will remain unchanged.
